The restingas have suffered accelerated degradation caused by urban expansion on the coast, threatening its unique and little-known biodiversity. Despite the high anthropic pressure and the enormous loss of area suffered by these habitats, it is known that the restingas have a considerable biological diversity. The APP of the beach of Pontal do Ipiranga, municipality of Linhares, north coast of the State of Espírito Santo. direct and indirect traces of mammals were recorded in the resort, with walks along two interpretive trails implanted in the place. In total, 12 species were recorded, of which 9 had directly confirmed records, another 3 species were recorded only by indirect traces such as feces, footprints, and vocalization, referring to 6 orders and 11 families. Through studies such as a survey of terrestrial species of mastofauna in restinga, it is possible to verify the existing species in the place, so that it is a useful instrument in the policies of planning, use and conservation of the diversity, contributing to initiatives of the most different areas of management of the biodiversity. It is quite worrying and regrettable to see the production of a coastal space in which its environmental specificities were not taken into account, taking into account the need for successful conservation strategies in these ecosystems, relating residents and the population about the importance of their conservation.
